On Friday (07 - 03 - 2009) the fun began at the 2009 Martha Nelson Parker Barnes reunion. It was good to see people that I only get to talk to and or see once a year. What was really nice was to see was the "next" generation come together without any agenda other than I am glad that we are kin folk. What I liked was that at no time was there any complaining that I heard. The food was off the chain music was alright but still fun. What I learned was that you are never going to get it all right because we are imperfect beings. I look forward to seeing everyone next year in "the motherland" where I am sure we will take this to a greater height. For those of you that came and trusted me with this years reunion thank you soooo! much. May God bless and keep us until the next time is going to be my prayer, because I can't believe we are now the old folks. (smile) until then MUCH LOVE amos
